Definition: Imaginary pictures that evoke our senses. Example:

White blankets on the ground

White mist is passing
Significance: Ordinary poems are spoken to express feelings and thoughts. Meanwhile, imagery helps the readers to get the meaning of the poem in a simple way by making them exploit their senses.
